The Mystery Science Theater 3000 fan club wishes all of out there a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year, or we hope you had a joyous Hanukkah. We hope you got all the things you wanted (MST3K DVDs perhaps?) and then some. It's a shame some of us couldn't be here this holiday season. Like Patrick Swayze. Let's raise a glass to him and hope he's up there in the great roadhouse in the sky.
The guys over at retrothing.com are fans of MST3K too and did a feature on the latest Cinematic Titanic downloadable DVD!The feature even shows a five-minute clip of Joel and the gang snarking on a terrible kung-fu flick. Fans of the show, especially the fans of the earlier seasons, will rejoice to see Joel and Trace riffing on bad movies yet again along with basically most of the rest of the MST3K crew supporting them including "TV's Frank" Conniff. See it here at: www.retrothing.com/
Hoping for a peaceful and humorous 2010,

2/5/10
For all you MSTies out there here's a wonderfully cheesy rock'n'roll movie featuring everyone's favorite Cabbage Patch doll-faced Elvis wannabe Arch Hall Jr. courtesy of The Cinema Snob. In this movie Arch stars as Bud Eagle, the All-American country bumpkin who leaves South Dakota to become a rock'n'roll sensation in Los Angeles. However, once he makes it big he becomes involved with seedy producers, call girls, and mobsters. But how does Arch get out of this jam? By throwing a beach party of course! MSTies will also take note the role of Arch Hall Sr. as the record label executive and Ray Dennis Steckler (of The Incredibly Strange C

Regular old Santa Claus Conquers the Martians is on TV right now. I barely remember the jokes and have to write them down next time I watch the MST'd version, which should be as soon as my family is done watching Lord of the Rings.
